Key Unsyncing
« on: 31 July 2012, 10:13:02 PM »
I've found my central locking remote stop working a few times in the last few days. Opened it manually and resynced and fine again for a while.

Do you get a Key Battery Low message like you got on the old 93?

Is it likely to be battery or something else?

Happened a few months ago and never tried to resync, assumed it was battery and switched to my other key. Must admit I never got round to buying a battery for that one either...

It should warn you, if you push the button something like 5 times when out of range of the car it will desync itself. Always handy in this situation to have not parked with the front passenger door up against a wall!

We had a low battery warning on her 9-3SS a few months ago.

Thanks for the replies, will resync the other key too now.

I was camping at the time, could have got clicked in my pocket while lugging stuff around I suppose.

Thinking about it, when the first key stopped I'd just got off holiday and unloaded the car, same thing probably.

On the plus side I'm very skinny, depth of wing mirror and a bit reckon I could still get in passenger side!
