I think I'll leave it until spring and remove both of them again, I don't think it's going to make a huge difference to light output and it's getting too cold and wet to be standing outside sanding for hours  ;D

Took a pre-Christmas trip to see the in-laws down in West Sussex. Drove down after sunset on a very rainy night.
The bulbs and cleaning have made a vast improvement. Although I do feel the dipped beam are a little too low, I will get them checked out or find some flat ground and a wall to check them myself. Full beam was always very acceptable but is now so much more confidence inspiring.. Jobs a goodun I'd say!
