The older Saabs have a Saab Information Display in the dashboard. It can be removed and the speaker replaced for very little cost with a soldering iron.
The later 9-5's still have a SID. The display is part of the instrument panel, but the SID unit itself is a separate item clipped to the back of the instrument panel. I've never had one apart, but it should have a small speaker inside. You will have to remove the instrument panel to get at the SID. It looks a big job, but it's not really. I've have had panel out and back in a lunch hour in the office car park.
You have to remove the radio and other bits and then push out the switches from behind. Six screws are revealed. Undo these and the dash face will come off. Lowering the steering wheel and removing the shroud around the column also helps. then you can see the screws holding the instrument panel. Take that out and unclip (hopefully!!) the SID behind it.
I've taken an old SID apart and seen inside, but I haven't taken a new one out, or apart. It may need cutting open and glueing back together.
