ACC fault code 00
« on: 13 April 2013, 05:03:11 PM »
Hi all, again...!
So my electrical gremlins seem to be mounting up.

During a long trip my ACC has suddenly packed up.

It was functioning perfectly fine for the first part of the journey, then I stopped for a short pit stop.  When I started the car again the ACC displayed 00 on startup, then the screen went dead and refused to function.

I turned off the ignition, same result.  I can't even calibrate it, it just displays 00 every time then shuts down.

Have searched for similar symptoms, but everything I can find relating to code 00 just seems to clear itself up.  Not for me so far...

I've detached the ACC module to check for anything obvious but all appears fine.  The fuse is also ok.

Perplexed...!  Any ideas anyone?

Bit of an update.
Have tried resetting the car by disconnecting the battery as was advised by someone.
Still nothing, same 00 code then ACC module dies.

Short of sending it off for a refurb, (but even the refurb guy doesn't think this will solve it) i'm at a loss.

Hoping someone can help, it's getting warmer and no ACC could be sweaty!

Don't think 00 is a fault code. They start at 01. Open the car manual and do the diagnostic test as described.

Hi saab talladega turbo, thanks for the reply.
Like I said, much as i'd love to, I can't run a diag as, after the unit displays 00 when I turn the ignition on it powers off completely.
None of the buttons work...

Sounds as if the unit is broken. If it's something simple like a cracked solder joint, it's fixable.  But it needs t0 be taken apart to see if there's anything obvious......

Ended up sending the ACC module to Damone at SIDmaster.  He diagnosed a fault on the PCB and fixed it.  Also sorted the missing pixels too.
Just in time for the weather warming up, phew...!

Second time i've used SIDmaster and can't praise them enough.  Highly recommended.

Thanks again for the suggestions guys.
