As for the Charger, not sure we can embed videos but try this:

http://youtu.be/ThiSsP2_OnM

It was a right mess and full of holes when I bought it but is now rust-free; I should, I hope, start putting it back together again in a couple of weeks.

You're not joking about the state of the Charger when you got it - looking at the photos, it's like rust porn  ??? ;D Looks liked you're getting there though - lovely machine.

In the meantime I'm in a small amount of trouble domestically because I bought a 1985 Golf GTI over the weekend.  I had to, it was only £300.  And my daughter can drive it in just over a year :D

Women just don't seem to understand these urges  :D  Any pics of the GTI?  8)

I think we all shed a tear that day, WW  :'(  There's something special about a good 99, I'd love another one.

After a long string of motorbikes, my first car was...

1970 (J) MK I Escort Estate (owned for two years & sold)
1979 (T) MG Midget             (Owned for 20 years from six months old. Sold. Bought it back. finally sold it again in 2000)
1932 MG J2                          (undergoing restoration. Was in fire and destroyed. Restoration restarted but slow time)

Mini Van
Mini 850                               (String of Minis used as winter run arounds to preserve the MG which was garaged for winter)
Mini 1000
Mini Park Lane

Citroën 2CV Dolly                 (owned as a second for four years to preserve the MG, then sold)
Citroën BX GTi                      (Bought after I parted company for the first time, with the MG)

(1998 S) Hyundai Coupe S1  (Replaced the Citroën BX on part-ex. Owned for two years and swapped for a new one)
(2000 W) Hyundai Coupe S1 (My frst brand-new car! Sold in 2010 to return open air motoring! Both Hyundais were brilliant)

(2002 52) Daewoo Matiz      (Bought new for my wife. Great little car but later replaced with Meriva)
(2003  03) Vauxhall Meriva   (Bought after the arrival of my son in summer 2005 as we struggled getting prams etc in the Matiz)

(2001 51) Peugeot 306 HDi D Turbo (Bought as a hack after Hyundai was sold, & until I found a cabrio. Part ex'd for the SAAB)

Present: (2006 06) SAAB 93 TiD Convertible
                          & still have the Meriva
Oh and I almost forgot - I have the 1932 MG J2, still  undergoing restoration!
...but that's another story!

Passed test first time, in 1969 in father's Morris 1100, having learnt the basics in his preceding Morris Minor (same 1100 engine) on Ainsdale beach in 1968 prior to 17th birthday. Passed IAM test (at second attempt) in 1984 after a couple of prangs and wanted to improve my driving. Which it did.

First bought a BSA Bantam 175cc (12.5 bhp!), then:

1971:   1964 Vauxhall Viva HA 1057cc. Only three cylinders working, as I found out when the engine seized and I took the head off. Huge difference in performance with all four contributing.
1973:   1967 Morris Mini Minor 848cc, with Oselli stage 1 head, manifold, and carb mods. The kit cost £30, over a week's wages! Outran a neighbour's 998 Mini Cooper.
1974:   1971 Vauxhall Viva HC, 1256cc. Bonnet like the Ark Royal after the Mini.
1978:   1976 Vauxhall Chevette, 1256cc. Lovely paint. A deep bronze metallic, best part of the car.
1979:   Suzuki SC100 "Whizzkid", 970cc, new. Great fun.
1981:   Suzuki Alto, 998cc, new. Grim.
1983:   Citroen Visa GT, 1360cc, 80 bhp, new. That's better.
1985:   Citroen Visa GTi, 1580cc, 105bhp, new. In so many ways a worse car than the GT. Built in Spain.
1987:   1985 Vauxhall Nova GT, 1300cc, 80bhp. (SWMBO was learning to drive in a Nova and wanted us to have the same model for her to practice in.)
1988:   Vauxhall Nova GTE, 1598cc, 100 bhp, new. As with the Visas, not as good as the preceding car.
1990:   Peugeot 309 GTI, 1905cc, 128bhp, new. The 205 GTI engine in a bigger body. Handled better than the 205 with the same engine.
 1994:   Peugeot 306 XR, 1360cc, 75bhp, new (rear doors more baby-seat friendly than the 3-door 309  :(). Redeeming feature - superb ride.
1996:   1994 Citroen Xantia VSX, 1998cc, 120bhp, auto. Just so comfortable.
2001:   1998 Mitsubishi Galant V6-24, 2500cc, 163bhp, auto. Beautiful engine sound in a beautiful body.
2005:   2004 SAAB 9-3ss Arc, 1998cc, 175bhp, auto. So many problems, bought in March when a year old, exchanged it in the November for:-
2005:   2005 SAAB 9-5 Vector, 2290cc, 185bhp, auto. Later Hirsched to 220bhp, and also Hirsch suspension. Bought at 10 months old, 13k miles, now done 108k. Spent thousands on it, but still love driving it. SWMBO                              doesn't like it, she says.

Cars owned by SWMBO since passing her test in 1990 (first time, but a late starter): Citroen AX 11TRE (much better around town than the Peugeot 309 I had at the same time, but not as fast), then a Citroen ZX Avantage, and, since 2002, Peugeot 206LX. Same 1360 engine in the ZX and 206. But the ZX didn't have power steering and was a bar-steward to park.

Next chapter - Cars I have driven.

Well Jim, I'm 59 now and had the Cresta when I was 16, supposed to be round the fields, but there always seemed to be a gate in a field ::)
I started on bikes aged 14 and I was a bit of a sod then and had 5 endorsements on my first license at 16, all innocent bike related, I got 3 of them pushing a broken bike home,an Ambassador 250 2T :-[

Wecome, DegaRed! We're a friendly bunch here.  A leap of faith with that Maserati. IIRC they were seriously unreliable motors then.

Well it wasnt my first choice! But when I went to view it I unclovered some serious history with the car - It is the first of its model to be registered in the UK (Chassis No2) Chassis 1 was crash tested!. It was owned and run by the then MD of Maserati UK who ran it for a few years. It was Built with all the options and the ultra rare Maserati Split rims an option the MD personally paid for.
Lots and lots of history, runs on the button, and gearbox is sweet as a nut.
Downsides, the speedo has a mind of its own, althyough giving a reading it can waft around like a cats tail!. It doesnt do much above 18mpg if your really really careful! and the dogleg box takes a bit of getting used to - reverse is in there somewhere honest!.
