In all honesty I cant see why they need changing,  they are only ever used when the car is stationary,  mine have been on since 2002 and have plenty of meat on them.  I replaced rear discs & pads last week and found one of my adjusters (n/s) had seized due to the amount crud round it, I also tightened the cable a tad by the adjuster sitting at the bottom of the glove box above the handbrake.

A picture would help,  but I'm guessing its a breather/vent pipe, i'm sure a more knowledgeable bod will be along to give a more detailed answer.

Another feature i noticed on my 9-5 is when the rain sensor switches on the wipers they speed up as the car speed increases and slow down as the car slows. 8)

Engine variant,  A and G is gonna confuse a few folks, should G not read "Aero"??
Just an observation you understand.

If i remember correctly 2002/facelift cars have to have the hole hub changed on the front where as older ones like the MY 2001 i had we just pressed in new bearings, right mare of a job though.

Agreed,  coolant by-pass is the culprit,  changed mine and all is well.

Car has covered 106,000 miles, a bit disappointing for an Aero turbo.

Steve

Disappointing to say the least for a TD04,  mine has well over 100k and no smoke what so ever. ;)
BTW,  ant probs with the studs??  I had to drill one out on mine as it snapped off flush with the turbo housing. >:(

- most locks are burst proof anyway even when unlocked.

And there is the answer Jim,  you dont really need to lock 'em because im sure i'm right in thinking Saab's have burst proof locks. ;)

I've had probably upwards of 12 orders over 4yrs from these guys and never had cause for concern.  I suspect yours is a one off.  Cant help with any other contact details i'm afraid.

Chatham,  Kent.   More often than not can be seen in the outside lanes of the M2 or M20. ;)

The problem with sealant is that it has a thickness.  If used excessively it will lift the item off the surface and prevent the real seal from seating properly.  Often all that's needed is a smear of lubricant to help the seal seat properly.

I see where you're coming from and completly concur fella,  the amount of sealant we used was literally wafer thin. ;)
