Heated seats and auto dimming rear view mirror
« on: 24 August 2013, 06:49:46 PM »
Hi guys

How easy would it be to plumb in heated front seats ? I have found a block of wiring under the seats that r not plugged into anything but as the buttons r blank on the dash, I didn't investigate it further due to the rain we r having. Also I have a billy basic rear view mirror and wondered how hard it would be to upgrade? Opinions pls guys

I fitted an auto-dim rear view mirror in my wife's 9-3.  The plug was there.  It took less than 15 minutes, including taking the photos.

I think that the heated seats are more difficult.  Apart from the wiring you will need the heating pads in the seat and also a replacement aircon panel with the switches.  You can't just add the switches as the circuitry inside is different.
