Dashboard Lights Stay On
« on: 02 November 2011, 04:42:16 AM »
Hi all,

Have an 05 Aero Sport 2.0

Noticed tonight that when I went to check I'd locked it for the night the lights around the SID and the radio/ phone controls were all on.

Tried unlocking and relocking, but it made no difference. Going to disconnect the battery as I don't want to be bump starting tomorrow.

Any ideas what could be wrong??

Hi Nigsy and welcome to the forums  8)

I'm  not sure what to suggest here, but what I would do is to try 'recycling' the ignition again. Start the car up and run it for a while, then shut down as normal, and see what happens.

I'm sure there will be someone along that will be more qualified and give a better answer than I did

Cheers for the replies.

I'd already tried running it around the block and relocking, no dice.
Aerojon - Yep mine stay on for a bit then when the alarm light starts flashing they normally all go off - but it was lit up like a Xmas tree long after the alarm had set!!

Anyway - incase any one else has the problem - It seems a simple disconnect and reconnect of the battery reset something and all is good again.

If you have the comfort close windows, you will have to reset the pinch protection before the "one touch up" will work again.  Electrical disconnection disables it.
