We have a French autoroute toll tag that lets you drive through the automatic toll barriers without stopping. We have had it for years, around 25...
It works by automatically billing you and then you pay by direct debit. We bought it in France and it's worked all the time since.
Now we find that we can no longer maintain the direct debit with a French company from a UK bank account, and they require a DD for payment. You can transfer money when billed with no admin charge, but it seems this has to be on a bill by bill basis. A direct debit no longer works. Seems to be a "Brexit bonus"
