eBay links / 9-5 Aero Estate for sale
« on: 09 October 2012, 12:48:20 PM »

A minor detail I forgot to put in the description: there's a minor oil leak from the back of the engine somewhere. Oil can get onto something hot so you can smell it a bit. Less of a problem on a longer journey as it seems to burn off.

Silly me! Thanks  :)

Now on eBay. I'm not sure if the forum rules allow me to post a link so if anyone is interested please send me a PM.

Previous model ranges FOR SALE & WANTED / feeler: 9-5 Aero Estate for sale
« on: 03 September 2012, 12:25:48 PM »
I haven't advertised this car anywhere else (yet) so I'm putting a feeler on here first.

MY2000 (W) 9-5 Aero Estate (manual) in silver with black/grey interior and leather seats. I'm its second owner from new (bought from Saab main dealer) and it's done a tad under 122k miles (mostly long journeys with very little use over the past couple of years).

Bad points:
Dent in o/s rear door but paint not broken
Wheels need some tlc
Air-con not functioning, probably just needs a re-gas
Remote locking not functioning (you have to use the key)
Some pixels going on SID I (it had a new one when I bought the car in 2006)
Minor scuffs on front bumper
Front n/s fog-light bracket broken

1200 ono. I'll post some photos later. Car is located in West Suffolk.

edit: car has MOT until September 2013. Sensible offers welcome.

OK, I seem to have (I think) fixed the issue AFAICT.

I had 2 lots of cookies: from both and
I logged out and deleted all related cookies.
Went back to the forum via (ie without the www) and logged in.
Everything seems to be OK now.

When I visit the forum, I go to
Code: [Select] However, all the links etc are to
Code: [Select] (ie without the www sub-domain prefex). Could this be the source of the problem?

Kev, I think June 2000 probably was when Saabscene started.  Although not called Saabscene until a little while later, it was originally hosted as a forum at The Saab Pages on

I still have a bookmark to " - Johnny Winter's Saab Pages"! It's still active, but loads a blank page.

There should be an unread posts link under you username at the top left of the page.

Whoops :-[. For some reason the index page still shows a login prompt even when I am logged in. This is displayed in preference to the unread posts and new replies links, although they appear on other pages.

I will try deleting the cookies to see if that sorts things out.

Can we have Unread Posts and Unread Replies links please? :)

Oh, and a Fawlty smiley 8).

2000 9-5 Aero estate. Well used, but still a pleasure to be transported in :).
