Saabs in Scotland
« on: 23 August 2011, 10:45:01 PM »
I'm in Edinburgh at the mo on hols.  This used to be the city of Swedish cars - C900s, 9000s, and Volvo 940s and 960s. Sad to say, not so much any more.  So far the classic Saab count includes:

- C900 convertible on the A84 on Saturday, being enjoyed the way it should: two up with the roof down, and the heater on no doubt.
- NG900 convertible a few miles later, being similarly enjoyed
- What looked like a 99EMS on Queen Street, but it had gone by the time I returned to investigate
- R-reg 9000, Scarabe Green, in it's natural habitat of Stockbridge
- Cherry Red 2-door 900i crossing the Mound

and that's it.  Where have they all gone? :(

I drove through on my yearly pilgrimage from Harrogate to Stornoway and back during the last couple of weeks. The Aero was parked up for 2 hours in Roseburn while we had lunch - does that count? Mind the rest of the time it was just a blur  ;D

I was along the A75 a few weeks ago and saw a good few 9-3's and a couple of 9-5's?

Saw a 9-7x by the Pleasance this morning, on Dutch plates. Was going to snap a quick photo but there were people in it who might have thought I was a bit odd ...

I was intending to photograph the Lime Green 93 Convertible I saw in Bahrain - I just didn't have a camera at the time. I don't care what anyone thinks  :o ;D
