Stiff gear shift

I read about stiff gearshift on 6 speed boxes. Is the 5 speed afflicted with the same thing, and if so, is the cause the same?

Can it be adjusted?

No..it's not stiff per se,but gearchange is notchy 1>2 until the box is warm..

You might want to consider changing the gearbox oil then - use the proper "Saab / Gm" stuff

I did get this changed earlier this year for the GM spec stuff I got from the Vauxhall dealer parts dept.

how much was fluid was put in,as there was a change to the amount from the oe spec..
pretty sure it was reduced to 2.2-2.4 litres,someone with WIS should be able to confirm..

MMmmm I can't remember - I know I had two bottles of the stuff from the VX dealer, ordered using a GM part number. I asked WMSS to do it when they had the car in for something else.
