Had a couple recently, and local garage has repaired them for a fiver a time. I know that's very cheap, but I was taken aback the other day when in a trip I had no option but to get a slow puncture repaired at kwik fit.
£24.50!
£11.50 for repair. Fair enough
£4.75. Not sure why as old one practically new and no reason to believe a fault. And these must be about 10p wholesale....
£6.75 for a balance. Fair enough.
Then the real scam on top. £1.50 to pump up with nitrogen rather than air (also mainly nitrogen iirc....)
Oh, plus vat.
I should really start carrying a full size spare. As j always have 8 summer or winter wheels in the garage this should not be a challenge....
And it took the an hour and a half.....
