Wheel bearings

How long have yours lasted? ...

Car got through the MOT, but Ian @ Saabtech said there was a drone from one of the rear bearings. Car is at about 145k. (Quote for oe replacements was silly, so he is exploring aftermarket options). I was wondering if and when others had to replace theirs on the 9-5. I had assumed that fronts would go before rears.

Mine are still original at 178,000 miles.

The only time I had a drone from the rear was when the bushes got tired and the tyres scalloped.

They're not uncommon to need replacement when a 9-5 gets north of 100k

Thanks gents. Would you expect rear bearings to go before fronts? I hadn't anticipated that.

Also getting a re-gas today. ACC was struggling but has never been touched. If it needs more than a re-gas I think I'll just have to live without ACC, though the planet is making that harder ...

Oh and some fresh creaking over speed bumps, even though I take them like a grandmother. Yay.
