P1125-61 and 62 - 1.9 TiD
« on: 21 August 2018, 02:27:00 PM »
Hello. I've had some symptoms for years, but didn't pay enough attention. My car shakes a lot most of the times when turning the engine off, the iddle is a bit lumpy when cold and sometimes, when pressing the accelerator pedal hard, the acceleration is not linear. EGR is fine and tested with TECH2.
During my last oil change I asked for a throttle body cleaning (it was very, very dirty) but didn't notice that much improvement.
A few days later I get P1125-61 and 62 after a cold start. Don't notice lack of power except  bellow 2000rpm.
I know that sometimes cleaning the electrical housing of the throttle body helps, but I'm not comfortable doing this, neither at the garage.
I'll be ordering a new throttle body (suggestions? Could a  used one be a good choice?).
After replacing it, is it necessary for the garage to use the TECHII equivalent so that the ECU relearns the idle, or nothing more needs to be done?
Thanks.

WIS says that it's faulty feedback between the throttle body and the "clutch actuator unit".  Never heard of that, but I've been driving automatics for years now.  But then I couldn't find any other reference to it in WIS either!!

Hello. So, new throttle body ordered, just waiting for the mechanic to call me to replace it. The error continues to show up most of the times. Getting less smoke when starting the engine, though.
Is it necessary to use some specific Tech2 command after replacing it such as when replacing injectors?

Idle relearn or position sensor calibration?

Thanks!

Throttle body replaced a few weeks ago. The "flap/butterfly" was always trying to open and close. Almost no vibration now when I shutdown the engine.
