New a/c compressor
« on: 24 August 2023, 06:09:50 PM »
Finally got the car to Compressortech / Motorclimate in Warwick, for tomorrow, the noisy/rattling a/c compressor gets replaced and a new auxilliary belt fitted.

First major thing I'm having done in a while.

Well I think it might be good news. They've just messaged to say job is complete and car ready to collect, so it looks like the oil was not contaminated so it was a straight forward compressor and aux belt change without complications.

Looking forward to getting back in the car and hearing that smooth sounding engine without the horrid mechanical noises when the a/c is on!!!!!! ;)

Just got the car back - £549 (of which £92 was VAT 😳😳). But the nasty whiny rattly noise from under the bonnet when the a/c is running is finally gone!!! 😉😊
