Absolutely correct, David!

I was one of the few who managed to get to the outside of the track before the Saab Performance Team started. Much better position for photos, of which I took loads.

I do like the photo that you have posted. I think that your daughter has ended up with a quite artistic photo, there.

Hi John

We were also on the outside of the track watching the performance team, near the yellow building with the tower  :o  My daughter took my camera to use from behind the armco. We are arrowed!

As you say we got a much better view and the cars were quite close - something you will not find in the Health & Safety conscious UK. It was truly a magical weekend and will, I think, never be surpassed.

Good position, David.  I was to the right, down towards the end of the pit straight.   Ironic, isn't it, Sweden has the reputation for safety and this is exactly the sort of think that would never be permitted in the UK.

Totally agree with you, that really was a magical day.  Can not believe it was four years ago, I remember it like it was a couple of weeks ago.

Sort of right place  for this............................noticed it was close and notice on Sat Nav a roundabout coming up with layby at bang on right distance and hey presto.

Wonder if anyone has ever got the 789 on end. Think they would need to zero trip at 122667? so if anyone around that figure???? :)

We saw this trio of Messerschmitts parked at Charnock Richard Services M6 northbound in July 2011. They had either come up from Brighton or Bristol and were heading to a rally being held in Cumbria.

They look kinda fun and yet fragile at the same time. I'm not sure if I'd fancy sharing the highway with some of today's HGVs in one. :o

Use this link to the Messerschmitt Owners' Club website if you are interested.
