Well I had the Aero in to get the rear wheelarches sorted at the local bodyshop, and asked them to fit a second hand front wing I had in the same 170 black (to replace the badly spray canned wing that is on there now).
Was looking forward to getting the car back looking like new, only for the bodyshop to say they tried to fit the wing, but that it was missing some spacers (??) and so they could not get it to line up properly. Sounds like it was either sitting too far back and was in contact with the front edge of the driver's door, or the front edge was sticking proud of the bonnet/bumper.
So they had to put the old crusty wing back on.
Question is, did the wing change in any way between 2003 - 2007? Are the fixing brackets the same/in the same place? And what are these spacers that it could have been missing? I suspect this wing came off an earlier car to mine - possibly 03/04 plate rather than 56 plate......
