Holy thread ressurection!

This one is very good, comprehensive and spot on.

Thanks for that.

carrera - which of their branches offer Saab serving, please, so you know? Is it all of them?

Thanks, Will.

When members freely recommend a garage or specialist with their OWN, genuine experiences, and how pleased they were with the service helpfulness and expertese, they are added. Those to the quantrary do not get added. I double check with other more general reviews on the web from the public. I also request updates from members.

The map has proven so useful to many, whether they be on holiday, or simply stranded in the middle of nowhere, or in need of finding a trusted garage or services to Saab, local to them, quickly - by saving the link to their device.

Thanks for your suggestions - added to the map.

I have complied this map of recommended by experience Saab Independents and other garages, by users of social media pages that I admin, being updated reguarly. Trusting that this may prove useful - admin, please delete if not to your liking.

OK, there's so many active Saab groupings on Faceache, but I have dropped it onto the main one in hope, and PM'ed James here, too.

She was seen in Devon today by a fellow Saab enthusiast!

Thanks all.
Will - I had forgotten all about eurocarparts (not that I have had to use them at all recently), and pass the top of the road twice a day, too  :-[

So after around 15 months and around 12,000 miles of troublefree motoring and load-lugging, we have finally hit an issue in the last week.
When slowing down to a stop, say, at a junction or traffic lights, from normal speed, the gearbox will crunch as it selects first gear. Not all the time, but it does it! At other times, the gearbox changes up and down smoothly and effortlessly as it always has.

I am thinking (nee praying) that at just 120,000 miles, she is due for a fluid change anyway - it does look less than pink, but there's not brown evidence of burning - that there is a lazy hydraulic piston, for whatever reason.

Levels have been checked as per the method in the Drivers' handbook - they are fine.

Also, where can I get 5 litres of the Dexron III? - the last resort will be eBay, of course. My local large motor factors only stock 1 litre bottles, and I have to admit, that I haven't been able to pay a visit to our local gem of a family motor factors.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it possible to adapt a 9000 anniversary steering wheel to fit a 9-5 (2001), including the ICE controls?

The end of Holden - another of my articles.

Confirmed this morning that Holden is to cease manufacture. A very sad day indeed.

Have discovered more, and it is not good reading for Holden.  :o

Latest I've read is somewhat of a U-Turn, in that GM are ditching Chevrolet in Europe to save the Opel brand (and in a small way, recompense Vauxhall's debts).

I see that STT is fast, and deservedly, approaching this landmark.
Well played to the backroom boys, and members here, for making this forum a successful niche and knowledgeable place.
