Jim, you don't get a choice where I come from. Rather like the old Northern Ireland joke (told to me by a resident of Derry/Londonderry), about a man who was found in a "no go" area and asked whether he was protestant or Catholic, he replied "I'm an atheist", "Oh yeah, what sort, a protestant atheist or Catholic atheist?"
So where I grew up, you're either a Liverpudlian or an Evertonian.

My old school did play rugby and cricket as well as football, but it was the same lads playing all three. Football because it's in the blood, rugby because it permitted a bit more violence, and cricket because it gave you something to do waiting for the new footy season.

I wasn't into any apart from occasional cricket as I spent most of the winter doing x-Country running and summer was track or long distance running..................I managed mile in 4 ins 10 secs when in late teens. Still do the occasional charity half marathons.............

Both my boys played hockey with youngest getting through to under 21 GB team selection. I had my black aero estate when he was in midst of that which was like a team bus travelling all over UK for outdoor and the hyper speed indoor stuff. Since leaving Uni a few years back he played for Bournemouth Town and last season 2014/2015 was the highest goal scorer in the Southern league which was made all the more interesting as he only played half the away matches!!!!!! 69 goals....................he specialised in drag-flicks and only missed scoring once!!!!! The keeper hated him - lol. He's now in London and joining Wimbledon who are I think in premiere league hockey.....

Just heard on radio that Naarich are in bartum threeee lol

Reminds one of the famous Emo Philips joke:

Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"

He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"

He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"

"Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.

(Apologies for the thread deviation...)

...
I can just manage that on my bike.

Good one, Tom - an old one but still worth re-telling. One of those that you know what's coming, but you're smiling from the start.
