« on: 01 July 2011, 11:55:38 PM »
I'll kick it off.

Classic 900 driven by Paul McGann in Luther series 1 (BBC)

Saab 99 driven by Paul McGann in Luther series 2 (BBC)

(Luther had an ovloV 244 in the first series and a 744 in the second.)

Of course, there is a site that lists these, but it's more fun finding them yourself.

I'll take the pass from the kick off, and pass to :

Saab 96  - Bullitt 1968 .

Wasn't there a SAAB turbo in a bond movie ?

Definitely 1 in the video of a Human League song

OK, I'll go for the obvious one,

the hit BBC 80s drama,

"The Paradise Club".

I'll go for the really obvious one - any episode of the [authentic Swedish] Wallander. Boy did the product-placement team earn a bonus there.

I was going to mention Luther but you beat me to it - here's the 900

Is this a 9-3 convertible in episode 3? (Bit of a theme going there with bodies in the boots of Saabs - quite impressed one would fit in the boot of a convertible. Get a bit squished if you put the roof down though  :o

A c900 was also used by the main character in the under-rated comedy 'Joking Apart' by Steven Moffat.

SAAB in film" Julias Eyes". Watched this a couple of evenings ago - a strange story!

There's a brief glimpse of the car here - blink and you'll miss it

Not a film, but a cracking TV series!
Maybury (1981 -3), was a BBCtv Series I remember very well. Pre-Star Trek Patrick Stewart played the lead, a Psychiatric Consultant. The series gave me the nudge to go for it and read Applied Psychology. Pity this series, though, was never repeated, that I know of. Gather that there is a following to get DVD's of the series released. It was a good watch.
Anyway, a near as damn it new Classic 900 Turbo - 4 door, which he drove throughout - another Saab on TV not mentioned on the web.

Short video clip here.

I see Amanda Redman in the latest series of New Tricks has changed her 9-3 cab for an Audi  :(

But in the opening scne of this week's episode she walked past a row of parked cars, one of which was a 9-3 cab  :)

Just watched the whole of the "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" trilogy....unsurprisingly, more Saabs than you can shake a handful of birch-twigs at.
Nobody likes a smartarse - until they need one.
