Well! All I can say is that I have the best of both worlds; I am an optimistic pessimist   ;)

I am still unsure of the Chinese link, despite words of comfort from those involved. An electric SAAB? Maybe not, though long term this may be seen as being an inspired move. When SAAB launched the turbocharged engine, most though it was unlikely to succeed, yet decades later it is now the norm.

I must admit I was initially rooting for TATA, for no other reason than I had the good fortune to visit the Jaguar factory and talking to staff, it was clear their input, business practices and of course cash investment, has made a dramatic improvement both to the product and profitability.

The Chinese owner has been a resident in Sweden for over twenty years, so maybe that Swedish quirkiness has had an effect on him.

I was hoping the the Indians would come up trumps too - and for much the same reasons; all the feedback on Jag' (that I have been privy to) has been really good
