Spring assister's.
« on: 20 July 2012, 04:03:23 PM »
I posted a few weeks ago that the top of my rear tyres were going up inside the rear wheel arches on my 2002 Aero estate.

New springs were my first thought but with the cost and time involved I decided to fit a pair of the rubber spring assister's that caravan's use, a pair were about £20 delivered and took about 20 mins to fit.

I must say after a couple of weeks use I can highly recommend them, I can see the top of the tyres, the camber on the rear wheels is a lot better and the ride is much improved.

My initial worry was they might transmit some noise or make the ride harsh but my fears were unjust.

Which ones did you go for?

I've considered the same to help with my saggy rear end (no, the car!) ;D

Item 310393819974 off the bay of plenty.

Ordered on a Thursday and delivered on the Saturday.

They come with tie wraps in the packet.

No need to heat them as it described in the instructions as they just fit with a bit of a fiddle.
