11th Sept - SAABS in the Square, Bristol

REVISED ITINERARY

The revised plan for the 'SAAB September S'troll'

Meet up on Durdham Downs next to the water tower at around 10am for 'The Avenue' monthly meet. There is usually great mix of cars, motorbikes and scooters parked up with a cafe, toilets and plenty of parking available.

Some may recognise it  - it is where we parked for the Bristol Car Show

And to make it more of a day, if we have enough interest, we could then do the following:

Around mid-day we convoy to Ashton Court mansion (about 10-15 minutes away) for a s'troll around the mansions grounds and gardens, visit the deer park or wander through the woods.

There is a cafe serving snacks and hot food, toilets and a small exhibition of the house in the converted stables. It is all FREE to visit.

Everyone happy with this?

As we are travelling so close to it I would like to propose the trip from the water tower at Durdham Down (A) to Ashton Court (B) should go via the world famous Bristol Suspension bridge. The toll for the bridge is 50p per car.

Planned route is as follows, estimated time for journey is 10 minutes.

1) David & Anne (99T)
2) Chris (C900 T16S)
3) Alex and Family (C900 Turbo)
