9-5 Manual Gearbox
« on: 12 December 2022, 05:56:30 PM »
Manual 2010 Aero spec estate
Think I am looking at 5th/reverse gear work.
Difficulty sometime getting into 5th and it occasionally drops out of 5th.....
I could get the current one fixed [did on my last 9-5)
My Saab guy says of course its doable but he had little while ago seen brand new ones around the 600£ mark.

Can't find any online, any ideas?

You are probably looking for a FM55B05 which appear to be like hen's teeth unless you want to risk getting one from strange foreign parts. It is reputed that a FM55B01 will work adequately but may need a bit of fiddling with the top mounting. I don't have any other details

Seems online that the FM55 B10 should be suitable.
There is one of the Bay of Plenty, unused.....
Any comment?
Getting very fed up with holding it in 5th on the motorway....

I've made some additional notes on my original gearbox thread. Happy hunting!

The FM55 B10 box on Ebay was just the job.
Many thanks to Doug [UKSaabs]
Fitted no issues.
