Saab 9-3 Sport Saloon / Convertible / Combi (Wagon/Estate) / Turbo X / AWD (2003 on) / Blower packed in

Went to my car this morning to go to work and typically on the coldest day yet no fan for heating etc none at all doesnt even attempt to work, now checked the fuse (40amp one in the passenger side of the dashboard) and its fine only thing i know is that it worked fine yesterday and before and that you can hear a mechanical noise if you change in from outside air to recirculate.

any ideas im getting very wound up with this car and its constant little glitches.

means that again im without a car for work as i cant defrost the screen on the inside!!!!

Classic Saab 9-3 & GM900 (MY 1994-2002/03CV) / balance shaft out of sync

Hi all, can anyone advise on a balance shaft issue its been diagnosed by a specialist Saab dealer as Balance shaft out of sync. Is this something that needs an immediate fix or is it more just an irritation that can be looked at over time i have been quoted £800

im a fairly able mechanic but have heard that this is an engine out job and a real pain in the arse to do any advice would be great cheers

Hi, All just got my new 9-3 2003 sedan it has the sat nav unit with bluetooth and Aux input but i have no idea where to plug my mp3 player into, checked glove box (normal place but couldn't see anything, does anyone have any ideas

ive also read that it will need special connectors is this correct or should i be able to plug and play

i know its working as when i put the source on Aux it gives a static sound.

All if you have followed my previous post you will understand my reasoning for posting this if not please be aware that there is currently a Saab 9-5 2.2TID for sale on Autotrader that is not as described. I know this as it is my car and the garage that are supposed to be giving me a refund on it (not happened yet) have put it back up for sale. (please note it is not there vehicle to sell... i will be visiting them in the morning.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR

please see my other thread for all of the issues but be warned i had it for two weeks and it has caused nothing but problems.

Classic Saab 9-5 (MY 1998-2010) / Need help 3000rpm 3rd gear momentary loss of power!!!!

Hi all, new to Saabs and Diesels, Just bought a 9-5 2.2TID Vector with94000miles on it.

anyway test drive drove well car is very clean looked like a good buy however get it home and it started to increase idle upto 1500rpm into the garage found the turbo boost hose was really deteriated so new one ordered from saab, car in the garage unable to drive for a week. got it back yesterday rev problem seems ok now (not fully tested) but it still has a loss of power at 3000rpm in third and also occasionally at 2500rpm in 2nd.  I have cleaned the egr last night and put it back together this morning and the car pulls a lot better but still the loss of power, im stumped and quite wound up now as i only bought the car last weekend, any ideas im not getting any smoke from the exhaust until i change gear and you get a very small amount of soot but that seems normal on a high milage diesel to me.

any help would be really appreciated No lights on dash and loss of power passes in 5-10 seconds
