Wheel Concentric Spacers
« on: 01 July 2011, 11:37:45 AM »
High Speed suspension shake & steering woes are a common issue with after market wheels on SAAB's. Anyone know where you can buy spacers that convert the 65.1mm diameter SAAB hub to 72.6mm. Turned some up myself and they solve all the problems buy I can't make them thin enough (my DIY's are 20mm) and need 10-12mm.

Buying a better lathe does seem a rather expensive option  :-\

For some reason the standard manufacturer supplied polycarbonate rings just don't seem to work on SAAB's. 93 & 95 suffer the same. Anyone know why?

I just got some spigot rings from a local garage who I found through eBay. They're only plastic and only for a 2mm difference (67.1mm - 65.1mm) but they did the trick.

Just search for spigot rings on Google. You can get custom made ones if you're willing to pay a premium (£20 instead of £8 for a set of 4)

Cheers phil but I need the spacer as well to get the wider track (got some fat tires with wide rims) so spigot rings don't quite do it for me. Need to wide track by 20-24mm (10-12mm per side).
