My MY2002 9-5 Aero hit a magical mileage milestone last week.  I stopped to take this photo - which is absolutely genuine.

I did the same thing in my previous 9-5, except I had to pick up a client on the day it happened so couldn't take a photo. :(

Nice work on getting it right!

It was all about remembering to reset the mileage trip meter when I reached 122,667 miles, and then making sure I was driving the car when the magic number was approaching.

Really pleased to have got this photo, although some people don't share my excitement about getting it right :)

That's the sort of "useless" detail I like.

On the other hand I don't have any great yearning to keep my car clean!!

Mine did that some time ago but alas although I though of it beforehand when it happened I wasn't in a position to grab a shot. :(

What's the next "magic" number?

I have a picture of 66666 somewhere, but I can't find it...


I also have a photo on my old camera of a DTE of something like 1174 miles!! :)  I got that while coasting down the south side of the St Gotthard Pass.

Congrats on actually getting the photo though - not on the motorway hard shoulder were you?

Welcome AGAPL  :) - that was my thought too. Majority of my miles is on the motorway, so I'd be unlikely to be able to do this when my speedo gets that far round..
