A little problem ...

My 2006 Manual Aero Estate has got a slight gearbox glitch in that it's difficult to get it into reverse (suspect synchro). It's quite liveable with but I would like to get a fix. The engine is a B235R and the box is a FM55B12. B12's are like hen's teeth. I believe that B10's and B09's are possible substitutes. I thought I had found a B09 on Ebay, but it's just arrived and it's a B05. Curses.

I suspect it will fit the bell housing, but the shifter rod is different. Any ideas?

Situation resolved. Our local indie has the bits for the old style shifter.

Well that was fun. The new (old) FM55b05 gearbox is now in and working perfectly, clutch and release cylinder replaced at the same time.

The only problem is the folding wing mirrors have now gone wonky ...

Thanks, but I didn't do it myself. The heavy work was done by some nice blokes at Upper Bucklebury, near Newbury
