replacement fob battery routine

Sorry, I should know the answer to this by now, but what please is the reset procedure having replaced a fob battery?

In the 9-5, if it doesn't work straight away, you need to press one of the buttons at least 5 times to re-sync it.  I'm not sure if it matters which one...

Thanks Will. I thought you had to tell the car in some way, otherwise it wouldn't know to stop telling you to change the battery (as the replacement message was generated by number of uses rather than measurement of battery strength?).

I think the reset message is generated by a count in the fob.  It gets reset when the battery is removed.

Just done this job on one of the cars..... I just keep pressing the lock button until it works
