Leather seat repairs
« on: 17 July 2018, 12:17:57 PM »
Hi all,

just wondered if anyone could recommend any companies that restore leather seats.

The bolster on my driver's seat is starting to wear, but the cushion on the base is now out of shape where each of the five owners (latest one being yours truly) slide in and out!! There is also a small tear in the leather in this area, and the cream insert in the base of the seat looks like it too has got torn (or had a cigarette burn) at some stage and been repaired very badly.

I was doing a general Google search, and found this guy, and wondered if anyone had used him, or had any other recommendations:

He's worked on a Saab before - see his car seat repairs and looks good - worth a punt if he's close enough.

Strange that he gives no address in his contact details; there must be a workshop somewhere!

I'd say definitely worth a punt, the work looks very good

You could also have a word with Steve Lewis.  He is a Saab enthusiast and runs his own Saab Spares busines, including leather estoration stuff, if you want to try DIY.  Steve lived locally to me until his move to the North of Scotland!!
