Dashboard matt

Anyone got any recommendations? I've been using the Armor All wipes for a while now but my dash, presumably as the plastic ages, is becoming more reflective.

I use Autosmart Dash Dandy 'satin' leaves a nice clean non reflective finish.

I don't like to use any chemical at all really - they all seem to make plastics shiny to some degree, so I try to use a damp cloth as much as possible.

Check out Wynns Cockpit Matt - thats supposed to be non shiny.

I personally like Aerospace 303 - pricey but lasts forever and gives UV protection - doesn't leave things shiny - just new looking.

I was looking at this sort of thing last week and noticed that the AutoGlym stuff had two sets of instructions.  "Low Sheen" and "High Sheen". To get the low sheen you spray and rub off immediately.  To get high sheen you spray, let it dry and then buff off.

I've got myself a steam cleaner- will see how I go on with that before picking a new chemical to apply :)

Steam wasn't really shifting it so I went for the IPA, which worked a treat  8). I've now just got to decide if I dare put any other chemical on it lest it goes shiney. Still,at least I know how to de-shiney it now :)
