"New" Saab service agent in Watford. Spire Saab.

My local Saab dealer - Viking Saab - are now Spire Saab.

It looks like Spire have bought the site and are carrying on with Saab servicing.  But the new car business will be as a Seat dealer.

Spire Group own Hatfield Seat, as well as the Audi dealers in Watford, Hatfield and N. London.

I paid them a visit about 18 months ago just before I bought my car. Is it still the same staff Will?

That's what they say.  They've been pretty good to us over the years.

I'm hopeful that the service level will stay the same, or even improve.  The Audi place they own on the bypass has had some good feedback for customer service; albeit on the sales side.  But SWMBO bought her 9-3 from Viking.  First time she bought a car from a garage without me holding her hand.  She felt comfortable doing it with no heavy sales pressure.  Service is the same, polite and no patronising of the ignorant customer.

The old Lime Garage in Leamington sold out to Concept Saab a few years ago, but I believe the dealership has gone altogether now.

Lime however retained another showroom that I think they used to use for their trade ins etc, and that is still there next to Homebase. They have a sign outside that says they are now Saab Servicing specialists, but I'm not sure where their workshops are.......

I was in at Spire yesterday.  Staff are all the same. Taken over lock stock and barrel. Site and staff are no longer anything to do with Ballards.

Decor is different.  The place is full of Seats.  Only signs are "Watford" and "Seat".  They need a Saab logo there somewhere.
