Good to see all familiar names  :). Been a member of "other forum" since around 2002... Since I hate ads - I welcome the change   8)

My first post to Saabscene was at the beginning of 2002 using Netscape Navigator on my Mac.  There was a bug on the first day when every post was duplicated!! ::

Can't remember when we joined anything, but the old binary boards were used from our first dial up connection in 1996.

Kev, I think June 2000 probably was when Saabscene started.  Although not called Saabscene until a little while later, it was originally hosted as a forum at The Saab Pages on www.saabs.co.uk

I still have a bookmark to "saabs.co.uk - Johnny Winter's Saab Pages"! It's still active, but loads a blank page.

I joined Saabscene on 13 July 01, that central site thingy, before it gained American Independence, on 21 February 03, and UKSaabs, thanks to John who used to be Saabscene, on 13 May 04.

Fields doesn't come into it. Primordial Soup, more like!

Congratulations and good luck with the new forum!
I noticed that everyday it's improving (menus, design, etc) and it's getting better and better. That's good news.

I also like Saabscene and Saabcentral. To my mind the first one is mostly a UK forum while the second one is mostly a US forum. Both are nice and there is a lot of valuable information in there. However, the first one is a more serious forum while the second is like "chat & forum" (too many unimportant and off-topic posts flooding and hiding any useful information).

And last but not least, one of the main reasons I joined this forum is because of Sgould. I really don't know the guy personally but he is an extremely helpful and knowledgeable person. He has proved to be a valuable asset wherever he goes. Well done Sgould, keep up the good work.

What Ho Chaps!   :D

The old place has been blocked at work for the past year so this is a good start! I can't believe it was 2004 when I got my 9-5, its still racking up the miles(crosses fingers...)
