Problem with fellow Saab forum?

There seems to be a problem with fellow Saab forum UKSaabs. (As at 0538 today.)
When trying to "Enter (Forum)" from the initial start up web page an error message is shown -

"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) [2002]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists."

Unfortunately in my case I cannot contact an administrator if I cannot access the site. They may already be aware of the issue, but just in case they're not, could anyone here alert them if they know how?

That's not an uncommon error for UKS. It usually clears within a couple of hours although I see it's still there. The team will be aware of it.

For some bizarre reason I can't access UKSaabs from the computer at work - I get a message saying my IP address is banned!

However accessing the same site from home is not a problem at all
