Saab specialist

I found the Saab Specialist register on the Saab Owners Club website. I was trying to find Bagnall Saab, as I fancy trying to use them for my next service on the Aero, and to try and fix the oil leak I have. But I found another specialist in Rugby that might actually be closer to us.

Can anyone recommend these guys?

I have been looking at this map.  It was developed by Chris Ivory, who is a member of the Great Western Saabs group in Bristol.

Thanks Will, that looks like distance wise, Bagnal and Rugby are similar to get to. Warwick Kia is on my doorstep, but being a main dealer, I suspect labour rates are higher.

I'd have the same concern as using WMSS now that the technicians who are genuinely ex-Saab are getting fewer, and/or replaced with younger technicians who work on other brands more so than Saab, and the knowledge/experience base is not what it once was.

I have not used Rugby or Bagnal before but think they both have a good reputation?

This is where NG9-5 ownership is becoming advantageous.  Being an 'Insignia underneath' they can be serviced by Vauxhall Masterfit, my MOTs are doing by Robins and Day in Kingston who were, some time ago, the local Saab/Vauxhall dealer in the area.  Older models they are less familiar with; when Saab was in Wimbledon their final few years was joined up with Phoenix Vauxhall but they could not find their way round a 9-3SS (some interesting conversations I had there)...but with my current 9-5 if anything needs replacing it gets done by R&D Vauxhall in Kingston.  Annual service will be a coin toss of Joe's or Ian Allan (both of whom have given me excellent service, Ian Allan have taken on ex-Vauxhall technicians which is 'handy').
