Disposing of old parts/components
« on: 12 April 2023, 07:48:25 AM »
I've spent a lot of time buying bits from breakers to upgrade cars we have, which is fine, but what do you do with the removed parts? Often there is nothing wrong with them, and I don't want to take them to the tip.

So has anyone ever managed to sell/give away such parts to a breakers or scrapyard? Or do they only deal in complete cars?

I have a shed!  From time to time I take stuff to car meets and leave them on next to the car with a “free” or “donation” notice.  The donation stuff has a money box for collecting towards a charity my wife is involved with.
