Replacement gear lever gaitor
« on: 19 January 2018, 05:52:36 PM »
With mine all worn on the creases, I was wondering if anyone had replaced theirs? (manual gearshift)

I found various leather ones on Ebay, and wondered if I should get one? Anyone got any experience of these, how easy they might be to fit, and how durable they are?

Here's an example:

Here's a thread I started about 5 years ago, and I am still to get round to changing the tatty gear lever gaitor. I watched a couple of Youtube videos which showed how to get the gear knob off, but they weren't very clear about refitting it securely and making sure it stays back on.

Has anyone had a go at this, and how easy was it?

(Obviously this is a manual gear lever :D )
