2003 9-3 Aero Starting Problems
« on: 26 January 2012, 03:52:29 PM »
After getting stuck in traffic last night on my way home from work, I tried to start my car this morning the engine turns over but does not run.
The car runs on LPG and I can only think that the petrol had run out when I was stuck in the traffic jam as it got me home ok.
I have put 5 litres of petrol in this morning.
I found that the fuel pump fuse had blown so I have replaced this, and the fuel pump relay seems to click when the ignition is turned on.
I think I have checked the correct relay under the drivers / RHS a pillar?
Any ideas what this could be and how to resolve it?
I think it could be the fuel pump gone.

Hi Dave, & a big welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear about this starting problem - how annoying!

If it's not the fuel pump, could be, that running so low on petrol has drawn a load of debris from the bottom of the tank that is now blocking the fuel-filter.
Do you allow this to happen often?
