Customer Service Desk / Mobile device friendly forum pages

If you are viewing Saab Tech Talk from a mobile device, especially a smartphone, then there are different URLs that you can access to make the pages clearer on smaller screens and to reduce the amount of data that is required.  This means is should be easier to browse STT on slower mobile connections.

For Smartphones with browsers, such as iPhone and Android devices, use the normal URL appended with ?imode
For example:
http://www.saabtechtalk.com/forum/index.php?imode

For phones with WAP browsers,  use the normal URL appended with ?wap or ?wap2
For example:
http://www.saabtechtalk.com/forum/index.php?wap
or
http://www.saabtechtalk.com/forum/index.php?wap2

Customer Service Desk / Log in issue? Read this

There appears to be a glitch with the forum that seemingly prevents you logging in on your return.

We're not sure why this is happening, but can suggest a solution.

1, Log in to STT and click 'Forever' as the time period (DO NOT do this if you are on a shared computer, though)
2, participate in STT as normal, then close your browser.
3, on your return you will appear to be logged out, and logging back in will fail, so don't try logging in.
4, simply click on the large Saab Tech Talk text in the top left and you will find that your previous session is restored.

Sorry for the issues, whilst we do not know what is causing the problem, we know the solution.

If you have any questions about the operation of the forum, such as how do quote other people in posts, how to post pictures, how to use hyperlinks, or anything else about the functional operation of the software then please post your question here so that we can answer it for you.

Please bear in mind, this is a new forum and new software which means that it is a learning process for all of us, even the forum facilitators!  We only have about five days headstart, so with that in mind it may be that you have discovered something useful, such as skipping to the newest unread message in a post or something else that you think others may be interested to know.

So, questions or recommendations on forum software function, post them here!

Gallery / Image hosting

At the moment, we don't have capacity for image hosting  - hopefully this will come later.

In the meantime, if you wish to post pictures, you will need to host your images externally and insert the URL
