[SOLVED] ashtray spring mechanism broken - alternative fix?

Hi guys. Yesterday I took out the ashtray of my 9-3 so that I could install the 2 small metal  parts again into it. I think the cylindrical part was well installed but the plastic tip than locks into the hole was broke. I also didn't understand 100% how the other longer metal part should be installed.
Does anyone have any alternative fix on this?

I don’t think there’s a fix.  I found one of the storage boxes to replace the ashtray unit altogether.

I may have the old ashtray somewhere, if you need one, but the storage try is nicer if you don’t need an ashtray.

Yes, I've already seen those for sale, but they are bit expensive, plus the shipping to my country, but they sure look nice.

Hey guys, thank you all for the replies.
I've found a way! My biggest difficulty was to understand the mechanism because,  apparently, there are 2 different locking mechanisms as you can compare in the first 2 images, being the first one just like mine. I only noticed this after seeing lot's of different ashtrays for sale in eBay.
So my little upper plastic pin was broken, which I guess it is not to hard to happen, and  I replaced it with what I had around (or, like we say in Portuguese, "desenrrasquei"). I made a small hole and put a thick copper wire that was bent in the opposite direction of the metal spring. It seems new!
The Storage bay alternative was nice, but I still prefer this way and it is cheaper.
