Just a heads up - and I'm not sure if anyone else will be particularly interested in this, but the artist from Über Moose clothing (http://www.uber-moose.com/) (formerly of Weird Fish) is going to be at the Lambswold (http://www.lambswold.com/) shop in Stow On The Wold, and will be making custom t-shirts for anyone that would like them. Lambswold is a terrific shop with some real quality stuff and in some cases, sell items cheaper than internet prices!
You can submit your own design/design idea and caption, and he will reproduce it on a white t-shirt for around £20 which is around the price of an off-the-peg shirt!
I believe this is planned to take place on bank holiday Monday on the 26th Aug, but will confirm later.
I'm planning on having two done 8) and already have a design and caption idea. :)

I can confirm this is definitely happening on the 26th Aug, though at this moment in time I'm unable to verify the exact times that the artist will be there.
The location of Lambswold (http://www.lambswold.com/) is in the town square, and it is rumoured that there will be a full-sized Moose standing outside the shop so anyone looking for it should find it easily ;)

To think people say the Saab brigade are old farts, I'd have loved to seen the MG owners faces. Seems the older the car the more the owners come from the same period of time.

Stow. The live in Rissington on the old airfield.

On the contrary - as a new-to-the marque owner, I have never perceived SAABs in that way at all or even been aware of it, moreover neither have my colleagues and friends.
My friend with the prewar MGs owned SAABs years ago and he's loads younger than I am.
The brands that I always considered as 'old man's cars' were Lada Skoda Volvo and Bentley, but I no longer see the latter two that way at all

I'm surprised you've never heard of it before, former colleagues who worked on Saab's before the 80's say it was a stereotype then and then while Saab's were cool from the early/mid 80's to early 90's they lost that stereotype for a while but after that the stereotype came back! google it and you'll see it's been written on forums for a long time! (Don't say it within ear shot of the SOC though, you may get lynched!)

LOL, scary thing is... I'd say well over 50% of the cars where I'd had to delve into the glove box would contain a packet of Werthers and driving gloves were not uncommon either....
Hmmm... I've got driving gloves - but they have some street-cred' - they're army issue and for the purpose of keeping the chill off my hands when I have the roof open on cold days - so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! ;D
