Title: Saab wanted
Post by: Kev_Mc on 25 July 2019, 12:11:05 PM
After a reliable car to use as a daily driver. Will be using this to drive all round the UK with work.

Would consider the following:

9-3 hatch 1998-2002
9-3ss estate
9-5 saloon or estate - 1997 - 2008

Would consider other marques too - eg. Volvo S60/V70, Subaru Legacy / Outback. Price range would only get me to 2007 at the latest.

I'm in the Midlands.

Kev,

I have a 2002MY 9-5 2.0 Vector estate available, just 110,000 miles. It came to me with a TCM problem and an upside down ARB, some pictures here

If this is of any interest send me a PM and we can exchange phone numbers and talk

Initially was only looking at Autos, but after a 4.5 hour drive in a manual today to look at a car, a manual will be fine too. Would consider almost anything as long as it's reliable and not 2 or 3 doors.

Not too keen on travelling too far at this price point.

Sounds nice but I'm hoping to spend less than that.  8)

Depreciation is generally the biggest cost of car ownership.  :)

That's true - I'll be back again in a few months no doubt asking the same thing!

Got an old cosmetically challenged Octavia. Mechanically it's really good. Tad slower than the old 9-5 though. I actually sold the 9-5 back in March and bought an A3. Disliked the A3 so got shot of that and spent a lot less on this Octavia. I did go to see a 9-5 Aero last weekend, though it was nowhere near as good as the impression I got from the ad. Wasn't a total waste of time as I drove my sons manual car down there and ended up looking at manuals too. (The Octavia is a manual).
