Excellent indie in Hull if you need it, www.classic900.com

Thanks for this, been seeing a few of these and wondering why they reminded me of the Sportwagon.

Couldn't quite make the connection between a Caddy and a Saab.

If the SSD takes up the same spaces as a 2.5" HDD I'd stick a normal hard disk in for the extra space, although startup would be particularly slower you 'd be able to get much more on it.

I've also found Windows 7 quicker than XP on lower spec machines...

Methinks Richard_C has read too many Viz Top Tips...

Currently have a 9-3SW, hoping to get one of the last few registered Saabs next time (couple of years yet) or fingers xxx-ed to be richer by then and the XF Sportbrake.

Kept getting intermittent Dipped Beam Failure on my 9-3, while the light clearly worked, had only replaced the bulb a few months previously.

Took a closer look and the lamp holder was smoking when the light was on!

Replaced the bulb and all fine - just a dodgy bulb I guess.

Classic 900 in Hull is very good if you can't find anything nearer.

Thanks for the replies, will resync the other key too now.

I was camping at the time, could have got clicked in my pocket while lugging stuff around I suppose.

Thinking about it, when the first key stopped I'd just got off holiday and unloaded the car, same thing probably.

On the plus side I'm very skinny, depth of wing mirror and a bit reckon I could still get in passenger side!

I've found my central locking remote stop working a few times in the last few days. Opened it manually and resynced and fine again for a while.

Do you get a Key Battery Low message like you got on the old 93?

Is it likely to be battery or something else?

Happened a few months ago and never tried to resync, assumed it was battery and switched to my other key. Must admit I never got round to buying a battery for that one either...

Thanks, might give it a go. Don't use them much myself, mainly drop them down in winter to demist them. Also, car came from Scotland previously so don't suppose they were open then much either.

Something polishy on glass and seals, reseat and see how it goes.

I've noticed that the top trim and seals on the rear door windows seem to be getting pulled down in the middle.

Got the windows down and reseated them as best I can and they look properly in place, but dip again after the windows have been used for a bit.

Anyone seen something similar? Don't think it's causing a problem, just doesn't look good and it's bloody annoying!

I had misfire on 3 and 4 codes from my GM900 93 a while back, also stuttering engine when cold. Took some digging but it turned out to be the hose out the rear of the turbo, whatever that is.

Don't know if the last 93 would exhibit similar issues though...

I used Shiply to get my 9-3 from the West Midlands to Hull after the Turbo went. Cost £130, which I thought was remarkably cheap.

Surprised how many bids I got considering its an unusual cross-country journey. Did take a couple of days as the transporter made drops around Liverpool and Manchester though.

Third the price of AA equivalent if you're not in a rush and an excellent service.

Thanks everyone, I now expect to go straight back to my Saab indie when required, they are very helpful & knowledegable and at £45 an hour labour (last time I was in) I can't see much point trying anywhere else.

Not sure if its against the rules or not but go moderate me! www.classic900.com

Website doesn't exactly do them justice though. I live equidistant between 2 indie's a mile apart and the city is full of old Saabs.

Thanks, thought I'd probably try them first - don't suppose they'd turn down the business and they are very good... Just hope there's no need until service time!
