I don't think the Turbo is any different across that engine

Also, the Vectra and Astra will use the same one (which will widen your search!)

There's only one way i can think of for oil to get in the intercooler, and that's via one of the turbo oil seals.

You mention an EGR which suggests it's a Diesel...It's not something you can leave either, could result in the engine 'running away' if the leak gets worse and it starts burning engine oil.

I didn't have to program mine in - all i did was plug in the wiring adapter into the fuse panel in the boot and then plug in the trailer control module.

All the functions work as soon as you plug in, including disabling the reversing sensors

I also bought the additional wiring to provide the permanent and switched 12v supply - wasn't much fun running the wires from the battery into the boot though!

Dunno if you've done it already, but something i will add is to be very carefull when pulling the bumper from the retaining clips on the rear quarters.

I was super carefull, yet still managed to break most of the clips (looks like they're designed to break when you remove the bumper) - i then had to go out and order new parts for both sides.

Good luck!

It's funny, but i was watching a TV program last night where they repair cars and sell them on (Called Wheeler Dealers)

Same car, year and engine as yours and was having a similar fault, coil pack cured it!

But as you say, if you've swapped them around and get the same fault it kinda rules that out

BTW, did you clear the old codes out first before you swapped them around?

Almost certainly the coil pack i would say...

Exactly the same thing happened to mine

Except it was caused by my 4 year old son playing with the electric seats non stop for 30 mins!
