Big thanks for that – got the first disc off now.

Just for future reference though: the adjuster on my car (x-reg 9-5 Aero) turned out to be at the top, not the bottom. And you flick the adjuster upwards to undo it (on the offside, at least).

Struggling to get my (very knackered) rear discs off the car. I'm usually pretty good with brakes, even without a workshop manual, but these don't want to come off past the handbrake shoes. Is there a way of backing those off? I can find nothing obvious, and don't want to start dismantling the centre console unneccessarily.
