Which USB car phone charger?
« on: 30 September 2014, 03:32:56 PM »
I'm having some compatibility issues with the car charger plugging into the car, my Tom Tom charger works fine, but when I plug the iPhone charger into the socket I get no response at all.
Which is the best USB car phone charger that will work with this car?

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks
SK

I had a similar problem - it didn't seem to go far enough in to connect. You need to pick one with a long neck....

A further issue is that many such chargers emit signifcant EMI, particularly in the FM and DAB bands. With it plugged in, you may find your radio recpetion deteriorates..

iPhones pull quite a lot of current, you need an adapter that can supply it.
I've been using the one linked below for a while now and happily charges my Samsung and my Mrs iPhone at the same time. It's also quite well shielded so doesn't noticeably affect the radio.
