Service warning - how to reset when service done sooner
« on: 03 October 2017, 04:14:12 PM »
I've just done a service at 266,700 miles (schedule would be 270,000) on my '02 aero.

How do I reset the service warning (when it hasn't yet been displayed)? Doing the "Ignition on, press clear and hold for 8 or more seconds" doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas would be welcome

You can't reset the message until it actually appears unless you have access to tech-2.

The notification appears 360 days since it was last reset (or possibly 720 days if someone has tinkered with the service interval). It's only a day counter on the earlier cars.
