How tight is the Xenon bulb retaining catch?

I've tried changing the bulb this evening, but I have used a lot of force trying to turn the retainer and feel I'm going to break something.  Is it just tight?  Or have I missed something?

It's probably just tight but I would suggest removing the headlamp and doing it on a bench in case there's any other problems.

I was beginning to come round to that.  But it's a bumper off job on the Dame Edna, although I do need to get the bumper off at some stage.  I just don't want to do it in this heat - it's too hot to touch!!  And, if off, it has to go back on before the International meet....

Bah, I forgot, silly Dame Ednas! Of course that's what I'm going to be looking at as a replacement for my revision 2 9-5.

I might be able to do it with the battery out, but that's not something to start after 7 pm, with a thunderstorm threatening....
