Auto tranny fluid change

Update:

What came out of my box was very wrong. Instead of being red/dark red and clear, the fluid was pink, opaque and seemed way too thin. Whether this is a throwback to the orignal contamination, I couldn't say. A brief bit of research suggests that you cna mix synth & mineral but I'm not convinced it's safe.

I think you can and it will work, just it might not work for as long as if you didn't replace it in the first place.  ;)

Well, in the end I took it to my supplying dealer; they are a Saab approved workshop, and still have their Saab technicians, and from what they say, plenty of Saab work going through the workshop.
Had it done last Friday. Thry kindly washed and valeted the car, and as I had not taken the car in since I bought it, they gave it a 'health' check.
Advised that the rear bump stops were perishing. (I noticed there was some cracking when I serviced it in October and had been keeping them under obbo)
